Wine Country Journals
I love wine. I also love to visit beautiful wine country. It's a
tough job, but someone's got to do it, right?
As just an amateur wine lover, I frequently left my vacation from
wine country full of all this new information, enthusiastic about
all the great wine I'd tasted and with all the information only
written down on a few random sheets of paper provided by the
wineries.
I'd get to my local restaurant or wine shop and realize that
what I thought I'd remember when I got home, I didn't. All the
labels, vintages and varietals are too overwhelming when you're
simply trying to remember what you've tasted.
Aha! I developed my wine tasting journals. I recognized that you
don't have time when you're tasting to write a novel about each
bottle of wine. You need a quick checklist and rating system so you
can contrast and compare your likes and dislikes.
There's no right or wrong way to learn about wine or to track
what you've tasted. Just use my journal as a guide and drink what
you like and write what you taste!
